The Rustic Remedy reflects on our very first year,
and what a year it has been.
If ending a rocky business partnership after 5 years and deciding to completely rebrand my business wasn’t scary enough, less than 3 weeks after everything was official the world shut down. I was forced to close my doors on March 18, 2020 for an indefinite period of time. I was devastated and feared everything I had worked for the last 17 years was over. Who would ever want to seek massage therapy while living in a contactless world?
That question was answered when I reopened my doors June 01, 2020 and then learned that I was a finalist in “The Best Of Northern KY” for massage therapist. Something I couldn’t help but take as a sign of some sort. It was very apparent that this “new normal” has had, and still has a severe impact on our physical and emotional health and wellbeing. From long hours of poor posture behind a home computer to starvation from human contact, we are all doing the best we can to cope and keep moving forward during a time of uncertainty.
I am truly grateful for everyone that has been supportive and continues to believe in me and The Rustic Remedy as I cannot thank you enough! I aim to provide a safe space and have a table ready for those who come to heal and find their own R&R.
Here’s to moving forward and finding a little more “R&R.” - Amanda Snow
